Below is the latest on the various grants for businesses in the London Borough of Bromley impacted by Covid-19.
Local Restrictions Support Grant (Closed)
For businesses that have been told by Central Government that they must close under Tier 2 or Tier 3 local restrictions (London was in Tier 2 from 17th October – 4th November 2020 & 2nd – 15th December 2020, and Tier 3 from 16th - 19th December 2020.

Local Restrictions Support Grant (Closed) Addendum
This grant can be claimed by businesses occupying a premises with a rateable value and have been told by government that they must close under national restrictions.

**New applicants need only complete one form to claim both the LRSG (Closed) Addendum and Closed Business Lockdown Grants**
Local Restrictions Support Grant (closed) Addendum Tier 4
For businesses told they must close under Tier 4 restrictions.
Bromley Council have begun making payments of the Closed Business Lockdown Grants automatically to businesses who received a grant in the November National Lockdown.
New applicants should complete the online form HERE.

Closed Business Lockdown Payment
The one off top up grants announced on 5th January for businesses told to close under national restrictions. This is in addition to the LRSG (closed) scheme.

The one-off top-up grants will be granted to closed businesses as follows:
• £4,000 for businesses with a rateable value of £15,000 or under
• £6,000 for businesses with a rateable above £15,000 and below £51,000
• £9,000 for businesses with a rateable value of £51,000 and above
Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG)
The first phase of the Additional Restrictions Grant scheme has been approved by Bromley Council. Read the report here. Information on the different elements of the ARG is below.
ARG - Business Hardship Fund
As of 1st February the scheme had reached it’s capacity and Bromley Council are in the process of validating applications. Some applications may not be validated so you may still apply but your application may be unsuccessful even if you meet eligibility criteria.

ARG - Public House and Club Scheme
This scheme is open now. Click HERE to apply.
This fund is ring-fenced for independent Pubs, Bars and Sports and Social Clubs. Businesses applying for this grant will not be eligible for the Hardship Fund. Eligible applicants can claim from £3k up to £10,500.
ARG - Lockdown Top-up Grants
Additional funding will be provided to supplement the existing Local Restrictions Support Grant (Closed) Addendum: Tier 4. This supplementary funding is for non-essential retail, leisure, personal care, sports facilities and hospitality businesses which were eligible for LRSG (Closed) Addendum: Tier 4.
If you received a grant under the LRSG (Closed) Addendum Tier 4, and are eligible for this scheme, you will be contacted by the Council prior to payment processing. You do not need to contact the Council; you will be contacte by Bromley council in relation to this grant.
ARG - Business Innovation Grant Scheme
This is a £1m pot of funding that business owners can ‘bid’ for in order to innovate and support their business. Grants will be considered for businesses submitting bids of up to £10k each.
Applicants for this scheme will be asked to submit a short business plan outlining how the funding would be spent. Applications for this are due to open early February 2021.
Christmas Support Payment for wet-led pubs
The one-off grants of £1,000 to support wet-led pubs in areas under Tier 2 or 3 restrictions over the festive period - announced on 1st December 2020.

Applications for this grant will close on 28th February 2021.
Local Restrictions Support Grant (Open)
For businesses occupying a premises with a rateable value in the hospitality, leisure and accommodation sectors, that were not required to close, but were severely affected under Tier 2 and Tier 3 restrictions.
The London Borough of Bromley was in Tier 2 between 17th October – 4th November 2020 & 2nd December – 15th December 2020, and Tier 3 between 16 -19 December 2020.
