The claim process for eligible businesses in the London Borough of Bromley to access the government's Local Restriction Support Grant (LRSG) is now live.
Bromley Council has launched its LRSG claim process for businesses which have been told by the government that they must close from 5th November under National Restrictions.
Local Restriction Support Grants (closed)
To be eligible to claim LRSG (Closed) Addendum your business must:
Be liable to pay business rates for the premises occupied
Have been told by the government that they must close from 5 November
Not be in administration, insolvent or subject to a striking off notice
Be trading the day before restrictions came into force
You do not exceed the State Aid threshold of 800,000 (over a 3 year period)
Grants will be based on the rateable value of the property as at the 5 November 2020 and will be paid for the period 5 November to 2 December 2020.
If your business is eligible you will receive:
a grant of £1,334 per month if your property has a rateable value of £15k or under:
a grant of £2,000 per month if your property has a rateable value of between £15k-£51k.
a grant of £3,000 per month if your property has a rateable value of £51k or over.

Do not apply if your business has not been told by government that they must close from 5 November under national restrictions. You may be able to get support from the ARG Grant Scheme when this is available.
If you have more than one business property liable for business rates that has been mandated to close please complete an application for each business property.
You will be required to answer a number of questions to check your business is eligible, provide some information and upload online a recent bank statement.
Bromley Council aim to validate claims within 5 working days of receipt of all information required.
Bromley Council's service partners, Liberata, will be validating your claim and evidence. The email address will be from a liberata.com email address and is safe.
Liberata may also contact you to clarify a point or to request further evidence on behalf of the council by telephone or email.
The grant payment is payable to the ratepayer. The payment will be paid directly into the nominated bank account within 5 working days of your claim being validated.
Local Restriction Grant payments are subject to tax and the State Aid thresholds.
This funding will be provided on a rolling 28-day basis for as long as national restrictions apply.

Bromley Council have designed the claiming and notification process to avoid the need for you to contact them. If you do need to contact Bromley Council please use the contact us form. There is no call centre facility for this service however we will aim to respond to your enquiry within 5 working days.
We await information from Bromley Council as to the process to claim grants for businesses affected by Tier 2 restrictions, prior to the introduction of national restrictions.
