FERNHAM Homes is launching its latest collection of family houses at Lockesley Chase, Orpington, in the London Borough of Bromley.
Set in the ancient parish of St Mary Cray, to the north of Orpington, the three and four bedroom homes feature everything that first time buyers and young families need, from superb commuter links to great pedestrian access to schools, parks and leisure facilities.
The development of just 24 houses will be launched on 14th and 15th September. Two homes are on the market now, with two already having been snapped up by young professional couples within days of being marketed.
Lorraine Gatward, Land & New Homes Associate Director at JDM Estate Agents, the company marketing the properties, is expecting to be busy. “We have already had a large number of enquiries about the development, which is in a superb location, with fantastic amenities within walking distance and easy commuter links,” she says.
Lockesley Chase is about a 15-minute walk away from St Mary Cray railway station, from where you can reach London Bridge in just over 20 minutes, while the massive shopping destination of Bluewater is only 25 minutes away by car.
Orpington itself has plenty to offer, including a vibrant High Street, a new cinema complex and gym. Nugent Shopping Park, five minutes’ drive away, has favourites such as Marks & Spencer, Waterstones and Pret a Manger, adding to the convenience of the location.
The two homes currently on the market are all available with Help to Buy, which means they can be bought with just a 5% deposit, making life easier for first time buyers.
“It is rare to get any kind of new-build family home at this price in Bromley, let alone a house with a garden and parking,” says Lorraine Gatward. “Often, first time buyers have no choice but to opt for an apartment; but not only are these homes within reach financially, they also offer easy, trouble-free living for busy professional people. Beautifully finished, with a ready-to-move-into specification and no chain to hold up the process, buyers could easily be relaxing in their own home this autumn.”
The properties at Lockesley Chase have wide-ranging appeal, says Lynne Smith, Head of Sales & Marketing at Fernham Homes. “Families will love the fact that the homes have private gardens, as well as being a short walk from local parks, including Poverest Park with woodlands, tennis courts and play area, and Priory Gardens with its ornamental lakes and bird life. In addition, there are three primary schools, one of which is Outstanding, within walking distance.
