An introduction to some of the most recent additions to Orpington town centre over the last couple of months.
Bocote & Co
Specialising in bespoke upholstered furniture, Bocote & Co are the latest addition to Orpington’s House & Home offering. Born in Lithuania, Orpington resident Justinas (pictured) has been running the UK side of this international business for six years.
The name is taken from the wood “Bocote”, a unique and beautiful wood native to Mexico and Central America.
All Bocote & Co’s furniture is hand-built in their factory and clients include businesses across the UK, particularly restaurants, as well as those in Ireland, Norway and Sweden.

Mobile Vape Exchange
A family run business, MVE opened on Orpington High Street in February 2019. As the name suggests, customers can buy and sell their phones, purchase cases and other phone accessories, or get handsets repaired or unlocked.
They also have a range of competitively priced Vaping products, E cigarettes, E liquids, coils and chargers, and now offer watch repairs, too. Brothers Ishan and Harry Singh chose Orpington to open their first retail unit.
“We’ve been delighted with the welcome we’ve had to the high street. There’s a friendly community here and we’ve also been pleased to serve customers from surrounding areas like Sidcup and Chislehurst,” said Ishan.
