Pato's LoungeAid has raised in excess of £4,000 towards a local 10 year old's cancer treatment following an 18 mile sponsored walk.
Over the past two months, staff from the award winning Pato Lounge have been raising money for ten year old Ben. Ben (pictured) has Medulloblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. His family need to travel to Germany for the best treatment, Proton Beam Therapy, which is not available on the NHS.
Fundraising efforts culminated on the 31st May, when four of the team walked 18 miles from Caballo Lounge in Epsom returning to Pato Lounge to celebrate with MusicAid. The evening included a sponsored auction, a raffle and some fantastic live music curated by TalkingBox Events.
Guests gave generously and the evening alone raised over £2000 bringing the LoungeAid total to over £4000, smashing the team's initial target, with donations still coming in.
Pato Lounge Assistant Manager, Aimie, said "The generosity of the local community has been completely overwhelming, and Ben’s family have been blown away by the support and kindness they’ve been shown by everyone who has rallied around them.
We’re so grateful for each individual who has helped Ben in his fight, and we’re honoured to have been a part of it.”
Donations are still being accepted so if you would like to help, please CLICK HERE or drop by Pato Lounge and speak to a member of the team.
