A care home in Orpington is inviting the local community to its free informative event on ‘Living well with diabetes’.
On Tuesday 13th March, from 2pm-4pm, the Care UK team at Foxbridge House will open the doors to the care home on Sevenoaks Road for its free event offering advice and guidance to all.
Kieron Brennan, diabetes specialist from Diabetes UK, will be sharing information and advice on living well with, as well as preventing, type two diabetes.
After the talk there will be a Q&A session, and visitors will have the opportunity to meet the team at Foxbridge House and take a tour of the care home.
Foxbridge House home manager, Carol McCormack, said: “At Foxbridge House we strongly believe professional knowledge, insight and shared experiences can make a real difference to the everyday lives of carers. Type-two diabetes has become common among older people, so learning how this can be prevented and managed is something that those caring for a loved one can benefit greatly from.
“We are looking forward to welcoming people to Foxbridge House for what promises to be another interesting and inspiring afternoon of information and guidance.”
Foxbridge House has been designed to deliver the very best standards of care and to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives. The home provides full time residential, nursing and dementia care, as well as short term respite and palliative care.
